Productivity of seed potatoes with local application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers

Ukraine is a leader in potato production, among the top three producer countries and ranks second world terms of per capita consumption, only to Belarus. It produces 139 kg year capita, with average about 33 kg/person/year. According UCAB, recent years area under potatoes has increased by 2.7% 1325 thousand hectares. However, yield for last was 15.8 t/ha. In some advanced farms reaches 30–40 t/ha due introduction scientific developments production. general, potential economic productivity now remains completely untapped. Potato plants are demanding presence nutrients soil. Soil must be available sufficient quantity. causes biological characteristics potatoes. The effectiveness mineral fertilizers depends on methods quality their application. traditional method fertilization involves broadcasting soil surface tillage. As result uneven placement fertilizer granules layer, transition into unavailable form plants, which development maturation tubers. Therefore, one ways improve nutrition reduce nutrient losses obtain high stable crop yields local application root system location.
